第二集The Golden Age:
1 Statues of Senworsret III, Thebes, in British Museum. 2 Senworsret III pectoral, pendant he gave to daughter, EMC. 3 Female Phraroh Hatshepsut's Obelisk, Karnak Temple, Luxor, Egypt's tallest standing obelisk, representing the first rays of sunlight, base inscription says "the people of the future who will see my monuments and speak of what I've done", a signpost for posterity, pointing the way towards eternity. Her statue appears in the guise of the male god Osiris with red tanned masculine skin and divine beard. 4 Djeser-Djeseru "Holy of Holies", Hatshepsut's temple, Deir el-Bahri, Luxor. Senenmut the lover graffiti in an unfinished tomb above the temple.
5 Glass fish, British Museum collection, Amenhotep III's time. 6 Nebamun Paintings, middle-account bean counter, tomb near Amenhotep's temple Luxor, now in BM. 7 Tomb of Ramose, mayor of Thebes, Valley of the Nobles, Luxor. 8 Royal family scene in EMC. Amenhotep IV is Akhenaten - effective for the Aten. His new capital Akhetaten - Amarna. 9 Bust of Akhenaten's consort Queen Nefertiti, in Neues Museum Berlin. Looking fraught, nip tuk work done, taut neck tendons, indicating pressure from the change. 10 Tutankhamun's funerary mask, in EMC, spectacular but blinding, famous but the result of the transformative power of art. Tutankhaten changed his name to Tutankhamun in deference to Amun.
第三集A New Dawn:
1 The Great Temple Abu Simbel, Temple of Ramesses beloved of the god Amun. 2 Faience (dazzling/sparkling) Shabtis, first mass-produced work of art in history, made with crushed sand and alkali that acts as a flux to melt the sand and form glassy layer, to replicate semi-precious stones. 3 Tomb of Pashedu, Deir el-Medina, Valley of the Kings, Luxor. Art of the worker, bright and relaxed. 4 Ostracon of a Lute Player, EMC.5 Bust of Mentuemhat, Kushite official in Thebes, in EMC.

去埃及之前沒看,回來(lái)后再補(bǔ)課果然風(fēng)味絕妙。沿著整個(gè)王國(guó)的時(shí)間線一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)梳理的,邏輯清晰、資料翔實(shí)、講解到位。哈哈哈,里面有集小哥默默吐槽了一下開羅博物館的館長(zhǎng),太可愛了。下一步,想去柏林的埃及博物館看看。
看完這個(gè)又想重看Egypt跟Ancient Egyptians那兩部了。。。
有些專家在博物館的秘密(開羅博物館)出現(xiàn)過,哈哈

BBC真是有錢,那些人潮洶涌的神廟啥米的,都只有主持人一個(gè)人的身影。。復(fù)原文物的部分有趣也很科普,但是對(duì)古代埃及人的調(diào)侃真的有些過分。。圖坦卡蒙尸體大特寫加吐槽啦,女法老有胡子啦,阿肯那吞怪異體型大嘲諷啦,記得另外一個(gè)美國(guó)拍的紀(jì)錄片,很嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)胤治鲞@位法老可能罹患馬凡氏綜合征來(lái)著。。
三集,英國(guó)專家以講30件文物珍寶的方式,介紹了古埃及公元前三千年歷史的興衰,不錯(cuò)。許多知識(shí)與珍寶是我們幾天旅游中看不到的,文獻(xiàn)紀(jì)錄片是個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)的好方式,文化旅游的有效補(bǔ)充。
把個(gè)碑搬到Dorset哦,島國(guó)人。利茲的小小市博物館也有木乃伊。還是看到很多大英博里沒有的埃及。。
以時(shí)間線為軸,以30件藝術(shù)品為點(diǎn),以點(diǎn)代面地大致讓人對(duì)古埃及的藝術(shù)歷史演變有了一個(gè)印象。側(cè)重于審美和鑒賞的方面的角度也很取巧。讓人看到了皇族之外的中層、甚至下層階級(jí)的藝術(shù),這點(diǎn)也很棒。另外,以現(xiàn)代西方的眼光預(yù)帶著關(guān)于自由平等反對(duì)專制暴君的pre-conscious,也使我想到其實(shí)我們都如此。
剛從埃及回來(lái),絕大部份景點(diǎn)和文物都親歷親見過,好親切。柏林博物館的兩件文物沒看過,以后要再去柏林看,大英博物館的那幾件需要再看,埃及博物館的個(gè)別文物沒看到,還需要再去,下次就可以去全新思吉薩大埃及博物館了。
反正,地中海沿岸,最后總會(huì)扯回馬其頓,希臘和羅馬的~Alastair還是可愛的,怎么辦呢。
古埃及藝術(shù)品中最讓人驚嘆的當(dāng)屬圖坦卡蒙金面罩和娜芙提提半身塑像,我常常覺得后者的精美程度甚于前者。

聽alastair sooke的講解真是一種享受,聽不夠啊,毫無(wú)疑問古埃及處在世界古文明歧視鏈的最頂端,看完想紋一個(gè)貝斯的圖案

小哥好帥哈哈!片子談不上太好看誒
奈費(fèi)爾提蒂頭像像是個(gè)獨(dú)立文明的產(chǎn)物,她的形象太清晰,沒有成為混沌而壯大的象征,但也不現(xiàn)代,與人的距離很近卻具有隆重的尊嚴(yán)。神廟令人印象深刻的構(gòu)造,把野心夸耀崇拜收攏在謹(jǐn)嚴(yán)的幾何線條里,能以簡(jiǎn)單的秩序施行堅(jiān)實(shí)的約束力,或許這也是作為對(duì)永恒的成熟信念的根據(jù)之一
看完古羅馬古希臘再來(lái)看古埃及,難免會(huì)覺得藝術(shù)作品有些粗糙原始,風(fēng)格也是保守平面受限的,沒有羅馬希臘那么吸引人。不過第三集有講到古埃及藝術(shù)受到希臘風(fēng)格和地中海藝術(shù)的影響后發(fā)生的變化,在壁畫上可以發(fā)現(xiàn)希臘藝術(shù)的影子。印象最深的是Nefertiti bust,在她美麗優(yōu)雅的表象后,也看出了她正承受巨大的壓力。這種多重解讀剛好也符合我之前的印象,總覺得她的形象除了美麗之外還有些tense。P.S.開篇和結(jié)尾的解說詞很棒。
古埃及藝術(shù)以規(guī)模宏大和極盡奢華著稱,大多具有強(qiáng)烈的政治性,是統(tǒng)治階級(jí)專制下為了對(duì)規(guī)則和制度的加強(qiáng)所創(chuàng)造出的奇觀。但這部紀(jì)錄片隨歷史發(fā)展的脈絡(luò)尋訪了一些比較特別的藝術(shù)品,并借由不少藝術(shù)家、手工匠人、考古學(xué)家及相關(guān)從業(yè)者之口,還原這些藝術(shù)品創(chuàng)造時(shí)的表現(xiàn)方式和意圖,以及其本身所傳達(dá)的思想,拋開最初的意義和價(jià)值,也有不少閃爍著人性的光輝,散發(fā)出獨(dú)特的魅力,例如那些令人莞爾的小陶片陶俑、繪畫或雕刻中的細(xì)節(jié)紋理及日常的瞬間記錄,都顯示出很強(qiáng)的生命力,也許這就是蘇克小哥最后所講的:埃及人相信,通往永恒之路不止一條。
