Reflecting on her childhood and adolescence in New York City as the daughter of a Dominican father and Venezuelan mother, Huntt investigates the historical, societal, and generational trauma she’s inherited and ponders how those ancient wounds have shaped her, while simultaneously considering the universal truths that connect us all as humans. 把一個(gè)故事很藝術(shù)化的表達(dá)出來(lái)，好好看，但是可能還需要再看幾遍才能吸收更多。貝拉的個(gè)人故事，加上人種問(wèn)題的探討，又透過(guò)個(gè)人家庭看到了相處模式與原生家庭的探討。這部片子的聲音設(shè)計(jì)也很值得學(xué)習(xí)和研究，很多的生畫(huà)對(duì)立的使用很妙。

這可能是我目前為止看過(guò)的最小眾的紀(jì)錄片了吧。有點(diǎn)無(wú)聊，分三次看完的，配樂(lè)有點(diǎn)聒噪且讓人昏昏欲睡，但是這種流動(dòng)的畫(huà)面感太強(qiáng)了。昏暗又明亮的色調(diào)，真的好美。如果說(shuō)以前的我還有一點(diǎn)對(duì)黑人種族的偏見(jiàn)（比如暴力，比如犯罪，內(nèi)心有些恐懼）看完這部紀(jì)錄片之后，這種狹隘的觀念徹底消除了。我難以總結(jié)這部電影到底講了什么，像是看完了一個(gè)漫長(zhǎng)的vlog，記錄的是貝巴前25歲的人生和思想觀。只是黑屏以后，我看見(jiàn)的，還有我自己。

Inspiringly intimate self portrait, an unapologetic documentary that deals with coming of age, race, being first Gen, family relationship and trauma, doing art, white liberals, etc. So many topics are engulfed in the 80 mins but it didn’t feel overdone. Plus the imagery is so effortlessly beautiful :3

正如導(dǎo)演所說(shuō)“自戀且有時(shí)殘忍”，作為私影像，太想被“看到”（尤其是那段白人朋友關(guān)于種族主義的討論），給人的感覺(jué)像是在閱讀一個(gè)人自稱(chēng)“寫(xiě)給自己”，但精心點(diǎn)綴了幾個(gè)爆點(diǎn)，實(shí)際上還買(mǎi)了推廣和會(huì)員的微博隨筆。
偽文藝的感覺(jué)
挺喜歡的。紀(jì)錄片可以觸及、填補(bǔ)真實(shí)與虛構(gòu)之間的壑。曾經(jīng)我們也有比這更優(yōu)秀的紀(jì)錄片，真的希望今后還能再有，且一直有。：）
